La garantie à première demande, ou garantie indépendante, est un engagement direct et irrévocable.
Ne donne pas une base légale à sa décision, la Cour d'Appel qui, retenant la distinction du cautionnement accessoire avec la garantie à première demande, se borne à énoncer que cette dernière est une catégorie juridique autonome par rapport au contrat de base, sans mieux s'expliquer sur les conséquences juridiques de la garantie indépendante.

On Monday 14 April 2025, the OHADA Permanent Secretariat welcomed to its Headquarters in Yaoundé (Cameroon) students of the Master Programme in International Litigation of the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon (IRIC) and a delegation of the OHADA Club of the same Institute.
This event, organised by the Department of Business Law of the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the said University, was enriched by five presentations.
