On 15 July 2025, the OHADA Permanent Secretariat hosted the official signing of a Cooperation Agreement between OHADA and the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC).

The Permanent Secretary of OHADA, Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, and the President of the CEMAC Commission, H.E. Mr. ENGONGA EDJO'O Baltasar, hailed this milestone as a new impetus for enhanced collaboration between the two regional institutions, with the shared objective of fostering sustainable development among their Member States.

On this occasion, OHADA invited CEMAC to take part in two upcoming initiatives: the regional edition of the OHADA-Private Sector Forum (ROSEP) and the International Congress on the Business Climate in Africa (CICAAf), whose inaugural edition will be held soon under OHADA's leadership.
