International conference: “Exploring the harmonization of arbitration and ADR practices across common and civil law systems in Africa”; 16 May 2025

The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), the Arbitration Centre of the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration and the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) are organising an international conference on Friday 16 May 2025 by videoconference (with simultaneous translation into English and French) on the theme: “Exploring the harmonization of arbitration and ADR practices across common and civil law systems in Africa”.

The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), in partnership with the University of Ngaoundéré, the Cameroon Bar Association, Energia Africa Corporation, and Chazai Wamba Firm, is organising its 3rd international conference by videoconference (Zoom) on Thursday 22 May 2025 on the theme: “Legal and Tax Aspects of Oil Activities in Africa”.

The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), in partnership with the Professional Training Centre for Ports and Business Digitalisation of the West and Central Africa Ports Management Association (CFP-AGPAOC) with the support of the OHADA National Commission of Côte d'Ivoire and the OHADA International Committee of Genius (CIGHO), is organising two (02) bimodal training sessions in Abidjan at the Headquarters of OHADA's Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA) from 12 to 15 May 2025.

Bimodal training session: “Practice and litigation of multimodal freight transport contracts”, 21 to 23 October 2024, N'Djaména (Chad), Videoconference

The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), in partnership with the OHADA National Commission (CNO) of Chad, the Vocational Training Centre for Ports and Digitisation of Businesses Members of the Association for the Management of Ports in West and Central Africa (CFP-AGPAOC), with the support of the OHADA Law Promotion Centre in Chad (CADOT) and the N'Djaména Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation Centre (CAMC-N), is organising a bimodal training session from 21 to 23 October 2024. This session will be held simultaneously in person at Hôtel de l'Amitié (Ledger Plaza Hôtel/former Kempinski) in N'Djaména (Chad) and by Videoconference on the theme: “Practice and litigation of multimodal freight transport contracts”.

Bimodal training session on the theme: “Practice of ccja arbitration and ohada mediation” Abidjan, from April 15 to 19, 2024

The Higher Regional School of Magistracy (ERSUMA), in partnership with the Arbitration Centre of the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA) of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), is organizing a bimodal training session from April 15 to 19, 2024. This session will be held simultaneously on-site at the CCJA headquarters in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) and by videoconference on the theme: “Practice of CCJA Arbitration and OHADA Mediation”. CCJA Arbitration practice will be discussed in the light of its new Rules of Procedure on Arbitration.

Entrée en vigueur du nouvel AUPSRVE : le Secrétariat Permanent organise une conférence internationale

Afin de sensibiliser les justiciables, les praticiens et les entreprises sur l'entrée en vigueur de l'Acte uniforme du 17 octobre 2023 portant organisation des procédures simplifiées de recouvrement et des voies d'exécution, le Secrétariat Permanent a organisé 16 février 2024 à son siège sis à Yaoundé (Cameroun) et en ligne, une conférence internationale sur ce nouveau texte.
