Fith international conference - 2025 “safeguarding investment in the age of cybercrime: an african perspective”, on Thursday, September 18, 2025

The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organization for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), in partnership with Chad's Bar Association, the University of Burundi, the Ministry of Digital transition and digitalization of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, and the Cyber awareness Academy, organises on Thursday, September 18, 2025, its 5th international conference to be held by videoconference (Zoom) on the theme: “Safeguarding Investment in the Age of Cybercrime: An African Perspective”

28th Ordinary session of ERSUMA

The 28th ordinary session of the Board of Directors of the Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) took place on Thursday, 19 June 2025, in Bujumbura (Burundi) in person and via videoconference. The session was chaired by Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Permanent Secretary of OHADA and President of the Board.

Special Meeting OHADA's Committee of Experts: Review of Draft Instruments Relating to the Regulatory Framework for the Functioning of Institutions on the Agenda

This special session is devoted to the examination of four draft instruments: the draft model headquarters agreement for OHADA institutions, the draft regulation on the powers, functioning and organisation of the OHADA Council of Ministers, the draft instrument on the functioning of the Conference of Heads of State and Government, and the draft regulation governing the composition, powers and functioning of the OHADA National Commissions.

OHADA Permanent Secretary on Diplomatic Mission to Burundi

During his visit, he was received in audience by Mrs Domine BANYANKIMBORA, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Burundi. He also held working sessions with several public figures and authorities, including the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Transport and Tourism, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning.

Le Burundi est en passe d'adhérer à l'Organisation pour l'harmonisation en Afrique du droit des affaires, OHADA en sigle. En marge de la première édition de la Journée du droit au Burundi, une conférence-débat a été animée autour du thème : « Droit des affaires au Burundi : défis et perspectives ». L'expert international en droit des affaires, Stéphane Mortier, dans un entretien exclusif, décortique les atouts de cet outil juridique pour le Burundi et les étapes déjà franchies.

Première édition au Burundi de la Journée du droit

La conférence intervient une semaine avant la deuxième participation d'une délégation de 3 étudiants juristes burundais, avec l'appui de l'ambassade de France, au concours international Génies en herbe de l'OHADA, qui se tiendra du 9 au 13 octobre à Kinshasa. La 14e édition de ce concours, qui réunit des jeunes venues d'une vingtaine de pays, coïncide cette année avec la célébration de trente ans d'existence de l'OHADA.
