59th Session of the OHADA Council of Ministers: Committee of Experts Sets the Stage for Ministerial Deliberations
The Radisson Blu Hotel in N'Djamena has been hosting, since Monday, 8 September 2025, the preparatory meeting of the Committee of Experts for the 59th Session of the OHADA Council of Ministers. The opening ceremony was chaired by H.E. Youssouf TOM, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals and Minister responsible for Human Rights of the Republic of Chad, current Chair of the OHADA Council of Ministers. He was joined by Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Permanent Secretary of OHADA, and Mr. Mahamat Saleh BEN BIANG, President of the OHADA National Commission of Chad and Chair of the Committee of Experts.
In addition to reviewing the Permanent Secretary's report on the activities of OHADA institutions during the first half of 2025, the session will consider several draft instruments designed to further strengthen the Organization's institutional governance. Furthermore, the Council of Ministers, which will officially convene on Thursday, 11 September 2025, will proceed with the election of five new judges to the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA).
