The Permanent Secretary of OHADA, Prof. Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, had a working lunch on 17 May 2025 with Prof. Ndeye Coumba Madeleine NDIAYE, Director of the Institute of Legal Professions of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (IMD), accompanied by her team, comprising Professors Ndeye Sophie DIAGNE, Dean of Studies, and Fatoumata Bintou DIA BIAYE, Coordinator of competitive entrance examination preparation sessions, and Mr Adama NDIAYE, Head of the Faculty's IT Department.
Over a convivial and fraternal meal, the officials discussed IMD's contribution to the Senegal Plan 2050 and the African Union's Agenda 2063.
Given the importance of human capital in Africa's development plans, particular emphasis was laid on the employability of young lawyers and on strengthening IMD's institutional capacities, in particular through the development of distance learning to ensure the effective deployment of the professional courses offered by the institution. To this end, a lasting and fruitful collaboration is envisaged between the IMD and OHADA's Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA).
