The RDC joins OHADA

It is our pleasure to inform you that, pursuant to the commitment of HE, Mr. KISIMBA NGOY, Minister of Justice (see newsletter dated January 24, 2006), the Council of Ministers of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has made the decision on February 10, 2006, that the DRC will join OHADA. This decision paves the way for the sending of a letter of intent to the Permanent secretary of OHADA and for the opening up of the ratification process before Parliament. It constitutes an historic step forward for the OHADA business law unification process and the economic rule of law.
