The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) is organising an online international conference on 22 and 23 October 2025 on the theme: “Artificial Intelligence and Africa: Cross-disciplinary Perspectives from Lawyers, Political Scientists, Economists and Sociologists”.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, this event aims to explore the views of stakeholders on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Africa, and to analyse the stakes, challenges and prospects for the continent.

Target Audience: The conference aims to provide an open forum for discussion on artificial intelligence and will bring together academics and researchers from various fields, including computer scientists, lawyers, sociologists, economists, political scientists, lawyers, magistrates, notaries, bailiffs, economic operators, public decision-makers, representatives of the private sector and civil society, students and anyone interested in the challenges of artificial intelligence in Africa.

The proceedings will be conducted mainly in French with simultaneous interpretation into the other official languages of OHADA, namely English, Spanish and Portuguese.

• Completion of the online registration form constitutes provisional registration.
• Payment of the participation fees constitutes final enrolment.
