We are pleased to inform you that the CHINA / MACAO OHADA Club, set up by Professor Salvatore MANCUSO, MACAO University of Law, smancuso@umac.mo, has just finalised a brochure presenting OHADA in Chinese. Tens of thousands of copies of this brochure will momentarily be published and disseminated across CHINA, with the support of the African Association for a Unified System of Business Laws (UNIDA), presided by President Kéba MBAYE. The largest Law and Management Universities in CHINA will be targeted as well as the numerous Chinese business circles having an interest in Africa and willing to contribute to its economic future. The first OHADA Days will take place before year end, in SHANGAI and BEIJIN, to start with. We think these upcoming OHADA events in CHINA are very promising and deserve our greatest attention and support. Indeed, the interest for OHADA of CHINA, its Government and its business and legal communities, is already perceptible in BEIJIN and MACAO. These events will certainly contribute to enhance this still nascent but growing interest; they will hopefully lead to CHINA supporting in the coming years the OHADA business law unification process, for the simple reason that such a process is conducive with historic efficiency and leverage to increased unity, prosperity and peace.
