We are pleased to inform you that the Corporate Council on Africa organizes "A Briefing on the Organization for the Harmonization of the Business Law (OHADA): A New Legal Framework Facilitating Investment in French Speaking Africa". The Guest Speaker will be Professor Dorothé Cossi SOSSA, LL.D. (Ottawa), former Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Justice for the Republic of Benin, former Dean, Member of the Benin Bar Association, Permanent Secretary of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law (OHADA). This landmark OHADA event will take place On Monday, September 26, 3:00-4:30 P.M. at The Corporate Council on Africa Lockheed Martin Conference Room 1100 17th Street, N.W. | Suite 1000 The meeting will bring together representatives from the African Diplomatic Corps and CCA members to discuss the evolution of Business Law on the African continent. Business Law in Africa has undergone tremendous changes these past few years to facilitate foreign investments. Most particularly, these changes can be seen happening in French speaking Africa which is a growing regional market for foreign investment. Secretary SOSSA will brief the attendance on issues ranging from property rights, movement of capital to litigation.
