Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), from 9 to 13 July 2017.

Professor Dorothé Cossi SOSSA, Permanent Secretary of OHADA, conducted a mission to Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) from 09 to 13 July 2017 to meet the Commission Chairman of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), HE Abdallah BOUREIMA and the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals of Burkina Faso, HE Bessolé René BAGORO. The Permanent Secretary of OHADA led an important delegation composed of the Director of Legal Affairs of the Organization, the Technical Expert in charge of the “Enhanced Financial Reporting of Entities” component of the Project for the Investment Climate Improvement (PACI) within OHADA space and the Consultant in charge of study on the OHADA Accounting Diploma course.

During his visit to UEMOA headquarters, the Permanent Secretary of OHADA, accompanied by his close collaborators, exchanged views with the Commission Chairman on various topics of common interest such as the Permanent Consultation Framework (PCF), which allows the two organizations to harmonize their programs of activities with a view to anticipating possible conflicts of norms, the implementation of SYSCOHADA as the only accounting framework in force in all OHADA Member States , The principle of extension of the accounting diploma (DECOFI) to the whole OHADA area and the contribution of UEMOA Member States to the OHADA budget.

Professor SOSSA was also received in audience by the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals of Burkina Faso, HE Bessolé René BAGORO. During the meeting, the two personalities discussed the various issues touching on the life of the Organization. The Permanent Secretary briefed the Keeper of the Seals on the situation of pending files and the preparations for the upcoming session of the Council of Ministers of OHADA, to be held in Conakry, Republic of Guinea.

The Permanent Secretary of OHADA thanks the Chairman of the UEMOA Commission and the Minister of Justice, Keeper of Seals of Burkina Faso for the quality of welcome given to his delegation as well as the fruitful exchanges.
