Launching of the N'Djamena Workshop on the Training of Trainers on the new Uniform Act on Accounting Law and Financial Reporting

photo6Since Wednesday 19 April 2017, N'Djamena, the capital city of the Republic of Chad, is hosting an important Sub-regional workshop for the training of trainers on the Uniform Act of January 26, 2017 on Accounting Law and Financial Reporting.

Facilitated by the Senegalese firm FIDECA, which led the reform process of the OHADA accounting law and system, the Workshop brings together Accounting Experts, Tax Inspectors and Management Science Teachers specialized in Accounting from Cameroon, The Central African Republic, the Union of the Comoros, the Congo, Gabon, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Chad.

The opening ceremony, chaired by Mrs DAÏNSALA ADOUM née NGARLEM Béatrice, Deputy Inspector General representing H.E. The Secretary of State for Finance and Budget of the Republic of Chad, was marked by speeches from:

  • Mr Miarom BEGOTO, Chairman of the OHADA National Commission for Chad, who gave the welcome address;
  • Mr Jean-Paul NENDÏGUI, Chairman of the National Association of Accountants for Chad;
  • Dr Boubacar Sidiki DIARRAH, Director of Legal Affairs, Documentation and Communication of OHADA, representing Prof. Dorothé C. SOSSA, Permanent Secretary, who was unable to attend.

photo7For three days, the selected participants will familiarize themselves with the new OHADA accounting framework and will reproduce the training received when they return to their respective countries.

A similar workshop will be organized for the West Africa sub-region in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) from 26 to 28 April 2017. These workshops set the scene for the gradual appropriation of the new law as a prelude to the forthcoming entry into force of the revised OHADA accounting system on January 1st, 2018 for entities' personal accounts, and January 1st, 2019 for consolidated accounts, combined accounts and financial statements presented in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The Permanent Secretary thanks the Republic of Chad and the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire for the facilities they provided to ensure the smooth running of these two important sub-regional workshops and expresses gratitude to the World Bank Group that ensured the full funding of the workshops.

    Actuellement chef de mission au cabinet comptable et d'Audit: FICA CONSEIL. licencié en comptabilité et gestion d'entreprise. je souhaite d'etre toujours au parfait des réformes du droit comptable OHADA. comment faire ? je suis à pointe noire.
