Preparation of the extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers

Since this morning, Brazzaville, capital city of the Republic of Congo, is hosting a meeting of the OHADA's Committee of Experts. In addition to the delegations from Member States of the Organization, representatives of Technical and Financial Partners of OHADA took part in the work.
The opening ceremony was chaired by His Excellency Pierre MABIALA, Minister of Justice, Human Rights and Promotion of Indigenous Peoples of the Republic of Congo, Chairperson-in-Office of the Council of Ministers of OHADA. Before the opening speech, Mr. Armand Claude DEMBA, President of the OHADA National Commission for the Republic of Congo, gave a welcome address and was followed by the Permanent Secretary of OHADA, Prof. Dorothé C. SOSSA, who made the introductory speech.
The main item on the agenda of the work is the examination of the draft Uniform Act on Accounting Law and Financial Information as a prelude to the extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers convened on 26 and 27 January 2017 with a view to adopting this important legal instrument.
