OHADA / CHINA / Signature of a cooperation agreement between CHINA Development Bank and OHADA.
We are pleased to announce that on May 7th, 2013, Director-General Lu Shaye of the Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the Seminar on China-Africa Legal Cooperation on Investment & Financing.
Lu said that the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Africa shortly after taking office has brought about new development opportunities for China-Africa relations.
The legal communities of China and Africa, based on the principles of treating each other with sincerity and equal consultation, should strengthen exchanges and cooperation, learn from each other and strive to solve major problems so as to provide legal guarantee for the sound development of China-Africa cooperation and promote the sound development of China-Africa relations.
The seminar was jointly held by the China Development Bank and China-Africa Development Fund. After the ceremony, Lu attended the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the China Development Bank and OHADA to carry out research project about the legal system on investment and financing.
This cooperation agreement is an excellent news for the investment climate in Africa and is just a good evidence of CHINA's growing interest into the OHADA legal system.
