Participation de l'OHADA au Congrès International sur l'Arbitrage de Marrakech
Marrakech, Maroc, du 12 au 14 octobre 2017
Dans le cadre de ses activités de vulgarisation et de promotion du droit OHADA au Royaume du Maroc, le Secrétariat Permanent a participé au Congrès international sur l'arbitrage qui s'est déroulé du 12 au 14 octobre 2017 à Marrakech, Hôtel les Jardins de l'Agdal (Royaume du Maroc). L'OHADA était représentée à cet important congrès par son Directeur des Affaires Juridiques Dr Boubacar Sidiki DIARRAH, représentant le Secrétaire Permanent de l'Organisation, le Professeur Dorothé Cossi SOSSA.
Organisée par la Cour internationale d'Arbitrage et de Médiation des Conflits commerciaux, cette importante manifestation scientifique a enregistré la participation de plus d'une soixantaine de personnes dont le Bâtonnier de l'Association des Avocats arabes, Abdellah DERMICH, le Président de la Cour internationale d'arbitrage et de médiation des conflits commerciaux, Président du Congrès international d'arbitrage de Marrakech, Dr Mohamed ELAOUAD, des Avocats, des Notaires, des Banquiers, des Experts judiciaires, des cabinets d'affaires et des opérateurs économiques provenant de la Tunisie, de l'Egypte, de l'Algérie et du Maroc.
La thématique principale du Congrès portait sur « l'arbitrage international dans les actes d'investissement et le commerce international ».
Dans son intervention, le représentant de l'OHADA a fait une présentation générale de l'Organisation en mettant en exergue les atouts de son système juridique, et spécialement ceux de son système d'arbitrage.
En marge des travaux a été signée une déclaration pour la création d'une Union Africaine des Centres d'Arbitrages.
Le Congrès international de Marrakech a permis d'accroître la visibilité à l'OHADA au Royaume du Maroc et dans certains pays arabes. Le Secrétaire Permanent remercie les organisateurs de cet événement d'y avoir convié l'OHADA, ce qui atteste de l'intérêt croissant que les professionnels du droit et les acteurs du monde des affaires au Maroc portent à notre commune Organisation.

OHADA Participates at the International Congress on Arbitration in Marrakech.

As part of its activities to disseminate and promote the OHADA law in the Kingdom of Morocco, the Permanent Secretariat of OHADA participated at the International Congress on Arbitration which took place from 12 to 14 October 2017 in Marrakech, Hotel les Jardins of Agdal (Kingdom of Morocco). OHADA was represented at this important congress by its Director of Legal Affairs Dr Boubacar Sidiki DIARRAH, representing the Permanent Secretary of the Organization, Professor Dorothé Cossi SOSSA.
Organized by the International Court of Arbitration and Mediation of Commercial Disputes, this important scientific event witnessed the participation of more than sixty people including the President of the Arab Bar, Abdellah DERMICH, the President of the International Court of Arbitration and Mediation of Commercial Disputes and Chair of the Marrakech International Congress on Arbitration, Dr. Mohamed ELAOUAD, Lawyers, Notaries, Bankers, Judicial Experts, Business firms and economic operators from Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria and Morocco.
The main theme of the Congress was “International Arbitration in Investment and International Trade”.
In his statement, the representative of OHADA made a general presentation of the Organization, highlighting the strengths of its legal system, and especially those of its arbitration system.
On the sidelines of this event, a declaration for the creation of an African Union of Arbitration Centers was signed.
The Marrakech International Congress increased the visibility of OHADA in the Kingdom of Morocco and some Arab countries. The Permanent Secretary thanks the organizers of this event for inviting OHADA, which testifies to the growing interest of Moroccan legal professionals and actors of the business world in our common Organization.
